HAUL!!!

One hot day in NYC and I think it’s Summer. It’s back to being in the single digits but at least I’m preparing for when the hot, muggy, city weather bombards us.

I started off on the Gap website. I am and most likely will forever be a fan of Gap. I am not very daring when it comes to day wear and love pretty basic, minimalist clothing and that pretty much sums the Gap up in my opinion.

The first photo is a linen blend, high/low, flowy top and it is perfect! I wore it today with dark wash jeans and a long necklace and combat boots and it was a great casual look.

I actually bought 3 of these cardigans but the detail on the black on wasn’t being picked up. I stocked up on these Lux Light cardigans, clearly. They are thin, very soft and come in about 8 colors. Being as cardigan obsessed as I am I was surprised when I was pulling out my Summer clothes that I didn’t have neutrals. Well, now I do! These are meant to be longer and more relaxed, so I suggest sizing down.

The last item from Gap is something I’ve wanted for a while now but never thought I could pull it off. I finally caved and bought a chambray dress! It’s so light weight and will be perfect when it’s 45 degrees in the city. This item is also made a bit bigger so I suggest sizing down.

Next is some purchases from J.Crew Factory. I’ve made many purchases from J.Crew but never the “Factory” division.

I saw this tunic/top and immediately had to have it. The colors are stunning and I have a white pair of jeans this will look amazing with, along with a pair of tan wedges!

I had purchased this exact dress 2 years ago in navy and white but I recently ruined it. I got so much use out of it that when I saw this black and cream one I put it in my cart immediately.

Finally, I was in the market for some new jeans. I rarely wear jeans in the Summer, but I thought these would be cute on cooler days and evenings. They’re a ‘toothpick’ jean with a 32 inch inseam, so they cut right at the ankle for me (which is the point).

Finally I got a new pair of my claim-to-fame, gold sandals. I have owned and worn gold sandals every summer for the last 8 years. To me, metallic sandals are a staple as they go with pretty much everything (treat metallics as neutrals)! I normally repurchase the same pair of Michael Kors sandals, but this year I decided to go with the Sam Edelman ‘Gigi’ sandal. I have a pair in rose gold and loved them so much I got the gold ones. They have so many unique colors and patterns I know I will end up purchasing others!

The necklace photoed is one I picked up today from a street vendor in Soho. I was walking by and was taken by all the beautiful colored stones. I have been looking for a necklace like this for a while and it was only $18, STEAL. I plan on getting a navy colored stone and magenta coloured stone necklace as well!

I have ordered some more things and will do a haul once I receive them!

Happy long weekend and holidays if you’re celebrating! xx
