I live for the Oscars. I make sure to mark it in my iPad and I even go as far and sending the event to my husband so he knows that I own the remote that night. At 7 sharp I flipped between ABC and E!’s red carpet coverage and figured out my favorite looks, then went on to the main event, which was SO good by the way, and I always stick around for Jimmy Kimmel’s After the Oscars show.

My Top 5 Best Dressed List:
Amy Adams (who styled herself I might add) in Gucci.
Sarah Paulson in Elie Saab.
Angelina Jolie in Elie Saab.
Cate Blanchette in Giorgio Armani.
Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein.

Honourable Mentions:
Kristen Bell (who I don’t think gets enough red carpet credit) in Cavalli.
Olivia Wilde (who is one of the most beautiful pregnant women I have ever seen) in Valentino.
Chrissy Teigen (I was hoping someone was going to wear this runway piece!) in Monique Lhuillier.

Obviously I have to address the following…
I think Lupita Nyong’o is gorgeous and her dress was pretty, but I don’t get what all the hype is about. Any colour would look stunning on her rich, perfect skin but I think just because she had SO many red carpet hits, compared to some of her other choices this was kind of lack lustre.

Same with Jennifer Lawrence. She looked amazing, but I am still in such love with her Dior from 2013 that I think anything compared to that dress will be less the stellar in my eyes. I’m glad she wore that dress last year though, because 2013 was HER year. Never the less I still continue to fan girl over J. Law on the daily.
