Hey guys!
I’ve got Part 2 of #fleurdelisgoestocalifornia: Airplane Look!
This part is super important because there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable during your flight. I never understood women who wear heels, or intricate dresses or mean who travel in 3 piece suits (which yes, I have seen). The same goes for makeup. Although I am happy with the progress of my skin, I am still insecure about the hyperpigmentation left over from past acne, so pictured above is what I’ll be wearing on my face.
I would never normally wear a night time serum on my face for the day but knowing how dry the air will be during my 6 hour flight I want to sure my face will be as moisturized as humanly possibly. I will then use the Hourglass primer and Immaculate foundation, no concealer, a little Maybelline under eye highlighter, a little MAC powder, some Tarte blush for a natural looking flush (so I don’t look like a corpse), Anastasia brow pencil because I refuse to leave the house without my brows done, Shu Uemura curler always, clear mascara for my lashes and finally, a light tinted Korres Lip Butter.
I normally would get Shellac done for longer trips but my nails have been pretty brittle lately, so I’m trying out the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polish in Wine Stock. The colors are gorgeous and the polish makes my nails incredibly shiny.
As for my outfit, I wanted to keep it light, cute and obviously very comfortable. My best friend had bought a pair of these H&M harem pants and they looked so cute on her so I had to get a pair as well. They feel like silk and look awesome with the longer, thinly knit light grey sweater. I’ll also bring my Gap jean jacket in case I need an extra layer and lets be honest, jean jackets go with everything. I will also be wearing my Tory Burch sandals from a couple years ago. They are in great shape and are easy to slip on and off! Ill try and snap a shot at the airport in my ensemble 🙂
I hope you guys enjoyed Part 2 of my travel series and Part 3 will most likely be a look at my entire trip!
xx
